Part of OBrienMaDe’s internet marketing strategy is article and press release publishing. Publishing informative content is not only a great way to attract attention to your business but is an integral part of any linking campaign.
Taking the time to write an article or press release is only the first step. Just as important as creating interesting content is knowing where to publish it to gain maximum exposure.
There are many websites that allow users to publish content. OBrienMaDe’s strategy to increase business visibility and traffic includes not only publishing articles and press releases, but publishing that content to a variety of outlets to maximize exposure. To gain exposure for your products or services it is vital that you make information about said products or services available to as wide a variety of people as possible.
Businesses handle articles and press releases differently. At OBrienMaDe, I use press releases to relay short, concise information to the public. If I’m running a special deal or have a small bit of news I want people to know about I’ll use a press release. When I’m providing detailed information about my services or my client’s products or services I publish an article. Keep in mind, the websites I discuss in this article are free to use. There are also a variety of pay options as well.
Using Alexa as the measuring stick, the most popular site to view free published articles is EzineArticles.com. Alexa’s overall ranking of EzineArticles is 103, and the site is ranked as the 55th most popular website in the U.S. In second place is ArticlesBase.com. This site is very similar to EzineArticles, but offers another outlet to reach potential customers, and just happens to be my personal favorite site to publish articles. Alexa shows ArticlesBase as the 297th most popular site in America. Coming in third place is Scribd.com. Scridb offers more content than just articles. The site is ranked as the 359th most visited site in the U.S.
In terms of free press release sites there are really just two that stand out. The first is PRLog.org. As the 618th most trafficked site in the U.S., PRLog offers great potential to reach people with your message. The other free press release site that offers a high probability of getting your release seen is Free-Press-Release.com. FPR’s U.S. Alexa rank is 1677.
Remember, it’s always best to use a variety of outlets to spread your message. I would recommend using all the above article and press release sites. It may be time consuming, but the effort will be well worth your time. Publishing articles and submitting press releases containing links to your site will, among other things, help increase brand recognition and search engine rank.
Good luck and happy publishing! If you would like help with your internet marketing or have any questions, feel free to visit my site OBrienMaDe.com or e-mail me at [email protected]
